Futility
"For a vision that exists only as the wind does"
This is a demo of a song called “Landline Wasteland” that my friend Meredith and I wrote together a few years back. At the end of a roadtrip, I visited Mer in her new hometown and we worked out all the parts and lyrics to an idea we had been noodling on for a while. The birds helped out too.
Landline Wasteland
I jotted this poem down in between meetings at the roundhouse this week, and thought it was worth sharing.
Futility
Our invisible dying efforts for a future that exists only as the wind does, passing by We do what we can do Until one day the boulder we pushed up the hill all our lives has turned to sand
